The 8 Best Locations in Paris for Amazing Photos
Paris. A city so mesmerizing that it will captivate your imagination and leave you speechless. Well, it at least did that to me.
I have been to Paris twice and every time I’m there, the city has a different look and feel to it. With the Parisian rooftops, the architecture, the colors and its gardens, Paris evokes a feeling of wonder. And capturing all of this perfectly is a journey that you would love to go on.
There are so many beautiful places and hidden gems in Paris, that every time you go there, you are bound to find something special and beautiful.
Truth to be told, I feel like I still haven’t explored the city in its entirety. But below are the 8 places that I’m madly in love with when it comes to capturing the essence of the city.
Jardin Du Luxembourg
Jardin du Luxembourg or The Luxembourg Gardens are extraordinary. Located in the heart of Paris’ Left Bank and dating back to the XVIIth century, it remains one of the city’s most prized and beautiful gardens. The gardens are equally popular among the tourists and the locals. The center of the garden in front of the Luxembourg Palace can be described as very “French” with geometric shapes with flowers, grass and a pond.
Pont Alexandre III
The Pont Alexandre III is Paris’s most elegant, lavish, and extravagant bridge. A perfect spot for a good click of the Eiffel Tower, an open-air museum with an array of masterful sculptures and a location in every movie featuring Paris, this bridge has a lot to offer.
A short walk from the Louvre lies the prestigious and peaceful Palais Royal. Featuring futuristic architecture with contemporary sculptures by Buren and Bury, the gardens at Palais Royal are nicely tucked away from bustling crowds of the Louvre. The iconic black and white towers near the garden are an Instagram favorite and the gardens are just so peaceful. I literally just sat there for an hour with a cup of coffee and took a nice and peaceful break from all the walking.
The Louvre Museum is an iconic location. But with that comes the hustle and bustle of the tons of the tourist, which leads to a photo with a lot of people in your background. A quick solution? Cross the road and on the other side is this beautiful garden that stand a bit above the ground and gives you an amazing view on both the sides. With literally no one around, you can get a really amazing shot of you and the Louvre.
Everyone goes to the Eiffel Tower. Everyone wants a picture with the Eiffel Tower. And the perfect place to do that is Trocadero. Located just across the Eiffel Tower, it features an amazing fountain, the staircase with the Eiffel view in every Instagram picture and the most popular photography spot in the city. The reason why I love Trocadero is because it really does give you a postcard worthy view of the Eiffel.
Pont de la Concorde
Another bridge across the Seine river, Pont de la Concorde is surrounded by some beautiful buildings and offers an amazing view of the river and the Eiffel Tower. It is a beautiful bridge to walk and during the night, the view of the city with all the lights just makes it really romantic. If you are looking for a place to sit, there a small garden on the Seine river on the right bank that not a lot of tourists know about.
Located in Montmarte, the Sacré-Cœur Basilica sits at the top of the city. After climbing up a fair share of steps, you will reach a place with most scenic view of the city and a Basilica with a unique architecture. The Sacre-Coeur is a beautiful place with a stepped garden and all of it is worth the climb.
The Rue Cremieux is a lovely surprise. A small street with cute colored houses, it is definitely an Insta-worthy spot. The street takes you into another world within Paris. It is definitely not your typical Parisian street. Since it is a residential street, please be respectful to the people living there.
Even though there is a lot more to explore in Paris, these places definitely caught my attention.
